Ron Faucheaux, President of Clarus Research Group

Ron Faucheaux, is president of Clarus Research Group, a nonpartisan polling company. Dr. Faucheux has handled hundreds of public opinion studies and market research projects for numerous corporate, association and nonprofit clients. He’s recognized for his groundbreaking work in message development strategies and for his ability to accurately track political and issue trends. Ron Faucheux graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He also holds a Juris Doctor from the LSU Law Center and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of New Orleans. A former Member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, he’s also served as a political consultant, U.S. Senate chief of staff,  editor and publisher of Campaigns & Elections magazine and a presidential appointee to the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.

Ron informed the GNOEA members with statics from the 2024 Presidential election. Statewide there was a 66% of voter turnout (down from 70% in 2020) with Republicans 78%, Democrats 64%, Independents 55%, Whites 72%, Blacks 57%. Ron also reported some statics from the most recent New Orleans Advocate statewide polling. Louisiana quality of life: 43% positive, 56% negative, Best issues: Crime, parental rights, the economy, Worst issues: Insurance rates (second most important issue).
