Labor & Employment Law Changes Under President Biden

GNOEA met in person, Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Messina’ Rooftop on Basin for an overview of Labor and Employment law changes under the Biden administration. Tim Scott, Attorney and Partner for Fisher Philips and GNOEA President, educated the group on the American Rescue Plan and its impact on unemployment during the pandemic. He encouraged all to have a good working relationship with independent contractors as company audits return to enforce filing I-9 forms. He addressed workplace safety and encouraged all to follow CDC guidelines as it relates to COVID-19. He also covered issues such as employee leaves, wages, and pay equity.

No other nominations were submitted from the floor. All were in favor.
