CHANGE OF VENUE

Just a reminder that in July, GNOEA will hold its breakfast meetings back at the Rose Garden of Jefferson for the months of July, August and September!

 

OUTGOING AWARDS 

Today outgoing President Lonnie Smith handed out awards to outgoing board members Craig Clement, Farrell Latour and Robert Ramsey.  He also presented an award to outgoing Treasurer Phillip Rebowe.  Lonnie thanked everyone for helping him throughout his term and then turned the gavel over to new President-Elect, Joe DiMaggio. 

 

NEW MEMBER

Today, we inducted our newest member into GNOEA Vince Gremillion, Restech Information Services, Inc.  under the classification of “Computer Network Consultant”.   Please, let us all take a few minutes to welcome him!

 

PROGRAM

Today we were pleased to have as our guest speaker, John F. DiMaggio, R.Ph.  John is the co-owner of Patio Drugs with his wife Daisy, Jefferson Parish’s oldest pharmacy location, now in its 53^rd year.

John has served on the first Communications and Public Relations Committee of the Louisiana Pharmacist’s Association as well as the inaugural Compounding Committee of the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.  In addition, John has served on the Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care Advisory Board under Governors Mike Foster and Kathleen Blanco.

He has served as an adjunct professor of pharmacy at Xavier University and the University of Louisiana at Monroe as well as a being a visiting professor of pharmacy at Xavier University College of Pharmacy.

We wish to thank John DiMaggio for taking the time to visit with our association!

 

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, July 26, immediately following the breakfast meeting at the Rose Garden of Jefferson.  All Board Members and Committee Chairman should attend.  All members are welcome.
