Recently, GNOEA has gained a new member into our association, Peter Sather, Kid Gloves, Inc. and his classification is “Specialty Moving, Storage & Receiving”.

Please, let us all take a few minutes to welcome him!

Today our program featured two of our own members, Joey Bender, Retirement Strategies Group and Philip Rebowe, Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC, both speaking on the current tax climate.

Joey Bender is the Vice President of New Business Development with Retirement Strategies Group, L.L.C. (RSG).  He graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1985 with a Bachelor Degree in Management and has worked in the retirement plan administration business since 1990.  His experience includes the design and installation of qualified retirement plans as well as day-to-day administration for 401(k), Profit Sharing, Money Purchase and SIMPLE plans.  Joey is an Accredited Pension Representative (APR), a designation conferred by the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA).

Philip Rebowe, Partner with CRI, has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting,  His expertise focuses on audits, consulting services, and employee benefit plan (EBP) audits for construction companies (including general contractors and subcontractors), state and local governments, not-for-profit organizations, financial institutions, manufacturers, tourism, and retail stores.  Additionally, Philip also specializes in providing forensic and fraud accounting services, including anti-fraud consultations, as well as litigation support.

We wish to thank both Joey & Philip for a very informative program.

The Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, February 28th, immediately following the breakfast meeting at the Rose Garden of Jefferson.  All Board Members and Committee Chairman should attend.  All members are welcome.
