Jay Cicero

 Jay Cicero is currently the President and CEO of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation. He also has the prestigious role of Executive Director of Super Bowl XXXVI Host Committee.  Jay’s roots in local sports run deep dating back to his job as the first general manager of New Orleans Zephyrs from 1993-94.

A Louisiana native, Cicero grew up in Shreveport where his father was a baseball and football coach at Loyola Prep for 45 years.  After graduating from Louisiana Tech, he started his sports career as vice president and eventually assistant general manager of the Shreveport Captains, a minor league baseball team that recently moved to Dallas.  He moved to New Orleans in 1990.
