Morial Convention Center update

Michael Sawaya, President and General Manager, Convention Center

Sawaya shared the latest plans for reinventing the convention center by reducing some of the space and making it more interesting. Artwork will “show off” our New Orleans culture, and there will be a more modern approach to lighting, furnishings and colors. The idea is to create a “front door” into a memorable experience for conventioneers ultimately driving tourism.

Visit the archives for sneak peek at the re-designed convention center.
