Bayou Phoenix Update

Presented by Troy Henry, Managing Partner of Henry Consulting

Thanks to member George Messina for catering this week’s networking event at Rooftop on Basin.

Troy Henry is the Managing Partner and principal fiduciary of Henry Consulting and a Managing Member of Bayou Phoenix a 167 acre site in Eastern New Orleans. Henry shared the vision of what is planned to be developed into a recreational  and sports complex. The master plan has 30 acres of athletic fields with 16 multi functional fields. It will also include an indoor regulation volleyball and basketball courts that will be designed for regional tournaments. To take advantage of the recently renewed tax credit, a portion of the complex will be earmarked for use as a studio(s). Retailers will fill in the gaps as the complex comes to fruition and a waterpark is also being considered. Bayou Phoenix is also reaching out to hoteliers to discuss having a 300 room and a 100 room hotel on or near the complex. Henry expects to break ground in roughly 48 months.
