The Jefferson Community Foundation (JCF) is the nonprofit, community foundation for Jefferson Parish dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents, visitors and businesses in Jefferson Parish by focusing on the needs of the community and power of philanthropy. Jefferson Parish has the highest senior population, highest Hispanic population, and largest school district in the state of Louisiana. Christine informed the GNOEA members about the different programs they offer which include  iPhone Basics for Boomers, Jefferson Community Youth Leadership, Jefferson Parish Quality of Life survey, Jefferson Parish Senior Expo, and Race Equity bi-monthly dialogue and recommendations. Soon, the JCF will expand its reach across the Mississippi River as it begins fundraising efforts for a Westbank Aquatics Center where community members can learn to swim, first responders can train, and regional athletic competitions can be held.

Jefferson Parish is hosting a Bicentennial Ball on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Lakeside Mall from 7pm – 11pm. Click here to purchase tickets.
