MORNING VISITATION

GNOEA will have a morning Visitation with Vince Gremillion, Restech Information Service, 220 Phlox Avenue, Metairie, Louisiana from 7:30 am till 8:45 am.  A visitation holds the same requirements as a regular breakfast meeting.

 

EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR

GNOEA’s “Executive of the Year” banquet will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Southern Yacht Club.  We have started placing forms on each table for nominees, so please take a moment to read and fill one out before the deadline of March 31, 2012. 

To encourage attendance at the “Executive of the Year” banquet, all members may be assessed for this function regardless of whether they attend.  Members are encouraged to invite spouses and guests. 

PROGRAM

Today our program was a video on the “3 Things I learned while my plane crashed” by Ric Elias.  He had a front-row seat on Flight 1549, the plane that crash-landed in the Hudson River in New York in January 2009.  What went through his mind as the doomed plane went down?  At Talks Every Day (TED) , he tells his story publicly for the first time.  You can go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iBX7Sea-xg to see the video.

The video was followed by a Round Table Discussion on the “Best Practices in our businesses and personal lives in 2011”.  Representatives from each table announced to the entire group two items that were discussed at table.
