PROGRAM

Yesterday, GNOEA held a “Morning Visitation” with Charlotte Binnings, Town & Country Travel. We had 32 members and one guest in attendance.

GNOEA would like to thank Charlotte and her associates for allowing us to visit with them and also, thanks to Joey & Vita DiMaggio for the great food!

Our next breakfast meeting will be held on June 12, 2012 at Ralph’s on the Park and our speaker will be Vince Gremillion, Restech Information Services, Inc. and his program will be on the following:

A computer security expert and Vince will be presenting scary facts and explaining what is happening in today’s cyber world.

Their program:
Show a step by step hacking incident
Explain a “drive by” infection
Explain what is a BOT and root kit
Show what your PC is doing when you click on a website
Discuss wireless security, passwords, best practices when using home PCs for business.
Discuss digital forensics and how to preserve data after an incident.

HOLIDAY

GNOEA will not have a breakfast meeting on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. The following week Tuesday, June 26, 2012 our program will be Jim Hudson, Iberiabank and it will be held at Ralph’s on the Park.

BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETING

The Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, June 26th, immediately following the breakfast meeting at the Ralph’s on the Park. All Board Members and Committee Chairman should attend. All members are welcome.

BUSINESS GROUPS

GNOEA has asked members that are not currently in a Business Group, but that would like to join a group to submit their names. So if a Business Group would like to accept a new member into their group, here are three members that would like to join a Business Group:

ELECTIONS

The Board of Directors unanimously elected Stanton Murray to serve as our next President-Elect and Philip Rebowe to serve as our next Treasurer, both terms beginning July 1, 2012.

Also, congratulations to the following three members who were elected today by the General Membership to serve on the Board of Directors for the next eighteen months:

Joe Azzarello, Farrell Latour and Hank Tatje.

If you invite them to a breakfast meeting, please give the name and other information to either the President or Susan prior meeting.
