NEW MEMBER

Recently, GNOEA has gained a new member into our association, Timothy Scott with Fisher & Phillips. He will share his classification of “Attorney/Labor” with Michael Mitchell, Fisher & Philips.

Please, let us all take a few minutes at the next breakfast meeting to welcome him!

HOLIDAY

GNOEA will not have a breakfast meeting on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. The following week Tuesday, June 26, 2012 our program will be Jim Hudson, Iberiabank and it will be held at Ralph’s on the Park.

 PROGRAM

Today we were pleased to have as our speakers Vince Gremillion, RESTECH Information Services, Inc. and Daryl Pfeif, Digital Forensics Solutions.

RESTECH Information Services was founded in 1992 with the philosophy of integrity, commitment and passion. They are committed to delivering an enterprise class offering of secure design and management to the SMB market.

Daryl Pfeif brings 15 years of experience working with computers, multimedia, and communications technologies to Digital Forensics Solutions. As a lead consultant and project manager for Fortune 500 companies (such as Microsoft, AT&T, and Sony) and state and federal agencies, she honed her ability to quickly and clearly define the scope of each project to achieve the client’s ultimate goals and to expedite each plan accordingly.

Their program focused on explaining what is happening in today’s cyber world by discussing malware, is software to help hackers disrupt users computer operation, gather sensitive information, or gain unauthorized access to a computer system. Some of the other areas discussed were social engineering, wireless security, passwords, and what were the best practices when using home PCs for business.

We wish to thank both Vince and Daryl for a very informative program.

BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETING

The Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, June 26th, immediately following the breakfast meeting at the Ralph’s on the Park. All Board Members and Committee Chairman should attend. All members are welcome.
