PROGRAM
Our program today was given by Philip Rebowe, Keith Naccari and Michelle Primo, Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC (CRI) on the BP Oil Spill claim’s process.   CRI was founded in 1997 and has grown to its present size in a short 15 years span with approximately 750 employees in 31 offices. CRI’s attentiveness to personal relationships and service excellence delivered with hospitality and a smile differentiates us from other accounting firms.Â
CRI has an exclusive BP Oil Spill Claims Department and has developed sophisticated software to reduce time and expedite claims. BP is still responsible for damages under the Oil Pollution Act of 1990. The Court Supervised Settlement Program (CSSP) methodologies are not the most favorable approach; you can opt-out and file your claim directly with BP. The CSSP has established very specific methods for calculating losses. These methodologies are firm, and do not allow for any deviations. While you may qualify to participate in the CSSP, the methods available may not provide full compensation for your economic losses.
Philip Rebowe and his staff will gladly help you determine if you are eligible for a claim. For more information, please contact Philip Rebowe, Carr, Riggs & Ingram at (504) 585-4442 or prebowe@cricpa.com.
