GREATER NEW ORLEANS EXECUTIVES ASSOCIATION
September 11, 2012
Our program today was given by three of our members Bill Ello with Total Electronic Systems, Paul Cosma with Uptown Auto Specialists and Michael Mayhall with The Mayhall Law Firm.
Bill Ello, Total Electronic Systems was established in 1984 and primarily installs home automation systems for monitoring your security, lighting, energy management, and entertainment needs. With these systems you can control many functions & monitor your home, even when you are away. Because these systems can be very personalized, it is hard to set one price, so Bill will come out to your home at no charge to give you an estimate of your dream system. Bill’s business is stable due enlarge to the fact that crime drives his business and alarm sales are up.
Paul Cosma, Uptown Auto Specialist primarily works on imports specializing in BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen and Volvo. Uptown Auto Specialists is a full service body shop that will repair your a/c, brakes, computer diagnostic, electrical, fuel injection and tune ups.
Michael Mayhall, The Mayhall Law Firm deals with Tax Controversies, Tax Litigation, Business Litigation, Federal Taxation and Business Law. Michael reported that victims of Hurricane Isaac may qualify for tax relief from the IRS. Declarations for individual assistance issued by the FEMA, the IRS announced that affected taxpayers in Louisiana will receive tax relief in coming days based on additional damage assessments by FEMA.
He also reported that the Louisiana Department of Revenue is granting filing and payment extensions to taxpayers whose homes, principal place of business or critical tax records are in the following parishes affected by Hurricane Isaac: Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana. For more information concerning these two issues please see a recent email that I forwarded with attachments from Michael Mayhall or you can contact him directly.

UPDATE ON JOEL DASTE
Charlotte Binnings, Town & Country Travel gave us an update on Joel Daste’s progress after his recent stroke. She explained that his stroke was caused by an infection he got from a dental procedure. He is home now, doing well and has most of his movement back except in one arm. The more serious news was that he will require a valve replaced.
