Members Reunite at First Post-Covid Breakfast Meeting

GNOEA members gathered for the first socially distanced in-person breakfast meeting since early March. A special thanks to our gracious member / host – George Messina at Messina’s at the Terminal.   It was the perfect meeting space for the organization. Nearly 40 members spent the morning networking and providing business updates, as well as holding elections.

For the past 3 months, the organization met virtually on a regular basis with a mixture of member and guest speakers including:  U.S. Congressman Steve Scalise, Jefferson Parish Councilman Deano Bonano, LA Commissioner of Insurance, Jim Donelon, Home Bank N.O. Market President John Zollinger, Director of Burkenroad Reports and Economist Peter Ricchiuti, Labor Attorney Tim Scott, and PAR president Robert Travis Scott.  We appreciate all of the information we have gathered during these meetings to help us navigate our businesses during these unprecedented times.

GNOEA plans to continue a mix of virtual and in-person breakfast meetings until further notice. If you would like to recommend a speaker, please contact Brien Lundin.

GNOEA would like to extend a special thank you to Kevin Laborde for his unwavering leadership, especially during the organization’s pivot during Covid. Kevin worked tirelessly to keep the organization running. The members found GNOEA to be an important resource for information and networking.

  • Philip Rebowe was re-elected as Treasurer
