Harry Kelleher & Co., Inc. – Commercial and Personal Insurance
GNOEA met via Zoom on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 for organization updates and to learn more about changes to commercial and personal insurance. Harry Kelleher III, President of Harry Kelleher & Co., Inc. and GNOEA member presented statistics on how recent weather events will impact insurance rates for southeast Louisiana businesses and homeowners. Louisiana suffered $47.4 billion in losses from 2020 storms and was in the “cone” six times with two hits and he expects rates will increase for homeowners. He recommended reviewing current insurance coverage with the agent to determine if you are properly insured both personally and professionally. He suggested considering hiring a licensed wind mitigation specialist to evaluate your home in an effort to find ways to storm proof and reduce rates.
