GNOEA met in person, Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Messina’s Rooftop on Basin to learn the role of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)- Port of New Orleans. Guest speaker Terri Edwards, CBP Area Port Director for the Port of New Orleans, began with the history of CBP, her role as Area Port Director and how government agencies such as the FBI, Immigration and the FDA work together to keep the country safe. Their mission: to protect the American people, its borders, and counter terrorism.
